a LITERAL dream come true!

Ever since Harrison could walk (about 5 years ago)...I have DREAMED of a house with a fence!!! Each time we moved (which was MANY times), a fence would be my TOP priority for a home. Well, up until now we have NEVER had one. But now I do, thanks to Rich! (yay!)
First he had to move 2 palm trees in 5 feet because they were blocking the fence line. Well, he did have help (he's strong, but not that strong) from a few guys from church.
All day Monday he put the posts in by himself....:o)
(thank you Rich, I love you!)
Early Tuesday morning Rich and our friend Frank started the panels.
The boys watched from the back door...they couldn't wait to get out there and play!
It is now about 5:30pm and he was finishing up with the gate......
This is the view from our back door...BEAUTIFUL!
Ooooooh.....it is just AMAZING isn't it!

This is a video of Samson coming out into the yard for the first time with the fence. Up until this point if he escaped from the house he would bolt away as fast as possible. We kept him from the back yard all day, so he had no idea the fence was there.

Letter of the Day = H

The letter of the day was 'H'...
so we made h-h-h-hats out of pipecleaner!!!
Harry's says: 'HARRY', Eddie's is a 'shapes' hat and JJ's
...well his is plain because he was kinda moody!

Cactus

When we moved the boy's cactus plants got 'killed'....
So last week we took a trip to Wal-Mart and they each
picked out a cactus (and I picked out the planter!)....
We are hoping to start a garden as soon as the fence is finished.

Tough as NAILS!

Our Edison is one TOUGH boy! He has definitely been my 'bruiser'! He gets hurt, not because he is clumsy...but because he pushes his natural limits WAY TO FAR. And, when he does get hurt, he RARELY cries, it doesn't even seem to phase him. A few weeks back, I had to call poison control twice in 1 week for him! Once for spraying bleach in his eye and once for eating half a tube of childrens toothepaste....AAAHHHH! They reassured me that I am not a bad mom, and that 90% of their calls are from parents of 2 year olds. Eddie is fine by the way, in both cases poison contol walked me through how to handle it, and he was and is FINE, for now at least!
In case you ever need it, the number for
POISON CONTROL is:
1-800-222-1222
(I have it memorized)
The bruise on his left cheek
here is from lunging off JJ's bed.

This, we think is a bug bite...but then again we are not sure. He just woke up with it one morning. Who knows maybe he went sky diving while we were sleeping.

PLAYING in the RAIN!

The other day the boys were out back riding their
bikes when a "freak cloud burst" came through.
Don't worry there was no lightning...

The COOLEST bathroom in the WORLD!!!

So, I got this tree decal for the wall off ETSY and Kimberly gave me this AMAZING polka-dotted duvet cover and pillow cases that I made into a shower curtain and hand towels...add those to the 'my green' wall opposite the toilet and...WALLAH =
the COOLEST bathroom in the world!
I told Rich it was the 'BATHROOM OF MY DREAMS'...
and YEP, he thought I was weird to have a bathroom of my dreams!

1st Day of School

Here the boys are on our first OFFICIAL day of homeschool! As you can tell by the 'Apples' and 'Alligator' coloring pages...we were on the letter 'A'.---Although we have never formally 'had school' until now, the boys seem to (in my bias opinion) be WELL advanced in their education (thanks to Leapfrog). JJ knows all his letters and sounds and yesterday Harry read 47 out 53 flashcards that he had NEVER seen before with no problem.---If everyday goes like our 1st day...I will be one HAPPY MAMA!

Home Sweet Home!

Our new home...
complete with the COCONUT PALM TREE!

The boys sippin' lemonade on the back slab...they LOVE the house! This little 'sign' has been on our front door at our last 3 houses
(all within the past 3 years....hopefully it can rest here awhile).
